Texas Recycles

Huffines PTA encourages everyone to Recycle by using the City's curbside program as well as the corporate programs the PTA utilizes, showcased in the Support Huffines Section of the Website.
City of Lewisville's Curbside Recycle Program
Recyclables will only be collected if placed inside the cart. All acceptable materials can be placed together in the cart; there is no need to separate the materials. Materials placed outside the cart will not be picked up. The cart is to be used ONLY for recyclable materials listed on the inside of the cart lid, and should not contain trash, yard waste, or any other material. If materials other than the items shown on the cart lid are placed in the cart, the cart will not be emptied by the recycling truck or the trash truck and the resident will be responsible for removing the unacceptable items from the cart. Not all items made out of plastic, glass, metal, or paper are accepted in the city’s curbside program, so be sure to consult the list to determine what is appropriate for this program.
Carts should be placed out by 7 a.m. on the scheduled collection day in the same location that the trash is collected (either on the curb in front of the home or in the alley behind the home). To maintain neat and attractive residential areas and prevent possible theft or vandalism, carts should not be set out for collection more than 24 hours prior to the collection day, and should be removed from the collection location within 24 hours of being emptied. To report a missed collection, contact Waste Management directly at 972-315-5400.
